Why we built WebHost24
The story behind WebHost24: why a marketing-only web hosting provider exists in 2026, and what we think the Indian hosting market needs.
WebHost24 started as a side project in 2024. We were running a few WordPress sites on US-based shared hosts and were tired of:
- Slow dashboards. Loading a page took 3-4 seconds in the customer’s browser. The host’s marketing site was slower than the actual hosting interface.
- Confusing pricing. INR pricing was an afterthought. Every dollar invoice had a 3-4% FX surcharge + GST on the FX surcharge + the FX rate changed every invoice.
- DNS + SSL as upsells. Free SSL was the headline; the actual checkout added Rs 500-1500 / month for “advanced” SSL features that are now standard.
- Care in the wrong timezone. 24x7 support in California didn’t help when our customers were in Mumbai.
We built WebHost24 to fix those four things. The positioning is “marketing-only web hosting in India”: we don’t sell VMs, we don’t sell dedicated bare-metal, we don’t sell Kubernetes. We sell one specific product (one-click apps on managed containers, on dedicated servers, on object storage) and we sell it well.
What we’re not
- We’re not a cloud provider. If you need raw VMs, Kubernetes, or anything that gives you root access to a bare host, use AWS / GCP / Azure / DigitalOcean.
- We’re not a marketplace. We ship 17 curated apps. If your favourite app isn’t listed, bring your own Docker image + we’ll run it.
- We’re not a SaaS. WebHost24 is the host layer. We integrate with SaaS tools (Stripe, Razorpay, etc.) but we don’t replace them.
What we are
- A focused web hosting provider in Palitana, Gujarat.
- The team is small (3 people). We reply on WhatsApp.
- We charge in INR. The price on the plan page is the price on the invoice. There is no FX layer.
- We default to DPDPA + GDPR-aligned. See the DPA for the formal processor-controller relationship.
If that resonates with you, message us on WhatsApp or browse the apps catalog.
